Your mission
Would you like to work on an innovative research project with Dortmund companies and scientific institutes?
Then become our new working student (all genders)! The position is available immediately, remotely from all over Germany.
Your profile
- You will provide support in solving complex optimization problems in the context of planning cleaning areas based on road data in GIS format.
- You take into account various criteria such as the distance covered in the optimization.
- You will independently identify and define further relevant planning criteria to improve the models.
- You will work in interdisciplinary teams from research and practice and contribute your expertise in a targeted manner.
- You have very good knowledge of Python and use it confidently in projects.
- You have sound knowledge in the field of optimization and are familiar with some of the following optimization and frameworks:
- pymoo (Multi-Objective Optimization)
- DEAP (Distributed Evolutionary Algorithms in Python)
- PyGAD (Genetic Algorithms)
- jMetalPy (Metaheuristic-based multi-objective optimization)
- Pyomo (Optimization Modeling)
- Optuna (hyperparameter optimization, also for multi-objective optimization)
- AUGMECON-Py (Multi-Objective Linear Programming)
- You work analytically, structured and independently and find pragmatic solutions even for complex challenges.
- Very good knowledge of German (B2).
